  • I had a wonderful education at Plumstead Elementary and then Gayman, graduating in 1968. Mr. Dutterer was the first male teacher I had, and he was the total educator. I could go on and on just writing about him and the impact he had on me. I have been teaching high school English for almost 30 years, and I hold a Ph.D. in my field. I count Mr. Dutterer and the other wonderful teachers I had at Gayman as role models during my own development as a learner and a teacher.
