  • the school itself is great and all the teachers do a great job. however, the students can get a bit out of hand. and the "enforcers" would rather suspend people over minor problems than to take care of the big ones. i have watched students get hit and picked on relentlessly and because the student's parent is a teacher or a previous graduate "succeeding" in life the correction staff will not suspend these children. i was always told by the teachers i could do anything, and they almost made me believe it, until i became one of the unfortunate that couldn't get help from the staff.

  • As an graduate of TSH, I am proud to call it my home. When I graduated I knew that I was prepared for what it took to succeed in life. I still keep in touch with a few of the teachers and have had the privilege to thank them for making such an impact on my life. At a school that small, we can become a family and that is exactly what makes TSH special. People get to know you on a personal level. You know that there are people at TSH that actually care. Having smaller class sizes, everyone gets the personal attention that they deserve. My entire public school career was fortunate to be in the Tamassee and Tamassee-Salem school atmospheres and I can personally attest that it prepares you to succeed in life, during high school and beyond.

  • I have been a student at Tamassee Salem since the 6th grade. I am currently in the 11th. Honestly, I couldn't ask for a better school. The teachers are wonderful, and they really try to do their job. Lately there has been a lot of talk about our test scores and such, but something that I feel people should realize is that it is not our school, administration or any of the teachers fault. I feel that it is indeed the students fault. As students, we have the freedom to choose whether or not we want to succeed or not. We are good students here at Salem. We just have those few who do not care and it is their fault. Not the (...). Salem is the best there is. We will succeed.
