  • That is ridiculous, racist nonsense. The Armenian kids in the school get along just fine with all the other students. Many students in the classes I have experienced have friends who are African American, Hispanic, and white. The kids get along great. Some children need to develop their social skills and that might be the reason your child is having trouble. To say that "culturally and socially this school is horrible" is downright unintelligent.

  • Great school. Teachers are great, everything! Just that the food is not too good. I am in 6th grade and in Mrs. Buensuceso's class if you have eard of her

  • Who ever wrote ths last review is absolutely absurd. I went to school at Balboa Elementary and it's a wonderful school. And guess what I'm not the slightest thing close to being Armenian. If you say that I must have graduated from this school a long time ago, I graduated from Balboa in 2007. Balboa has great teachers and great students. Yes I must say that there are many are many Armenians at this school but all of of Glendale is that way and I don't find much of a problem with it.

  • As far as education goes this school is fine. However, culturally and socially this school is HORRIBLE.

There is almost zero diversity at Balboa and students who are picked on for not being part of the majority get very little support from the faculty in those matters. I was even told that if I want my child to fit in I should enroll him in classes where he can learn to speak Armenian. The administrative staff has been unfriendly, unhelpful and even hostile at times and the lack of supervision after school is ridiculous. Children are allowed to wander out of the gates without anyone watching.
