  • In reference to the review about the harsh review of the school because of the cafeteria. My child has also has issues with the cafeteria and my review is not only about them but about the lack of correction to the problem by the principal. Are you aware that the principal is supporting the decision of giving children a piece of fruit for lunch if their parents are a little behind paying the bill? As a mother I have a big problem watching a child cry over being hungry and singled out in front of his classmates because his parent was unable to pay that week. Also I have spoken to many parents with well behaved children who has has issues with the cafeteria staff so I doubt it is the child who is to blame. Also walking in to put money on a childs tab is different from actually being in the cafeteria numerous times and witnessing the mistreatment of the children for yourself. I am only referencing the ladies who work inside of the cafeteria, not the staff that work the lunch benches and recess. Those women are wonderful with the children. I do however wish the principal would take more interest in correcting some of the problems that have been brought to his attention concerning the cafeteria and middle school bullying issues. And yes, children being bullyed is a major issue in middle school and so far after several meetings nothing has been done about that either. Most of the teachers I have met are great but I can not give a good review to a school whose principal will not correct issues when they are brought to his attention.

  • wow to rate a school a 1 apple just because of the lunch area... ?? is that the only thing that is wrong? give a rating based ont he school...talk about the lunch area...?? or Maybe pack a lunch if you have issues with it... We pack lunch everyday for our son... except on the days he ASKS to go to the Kafe as they call it... he has never said there was an issue there at all. I have been in there several times to prepay and have never had an issue with the women there. Maybe its time to look at the individual children whos parents posted these comments? Just guessing!

This is not our home school...but school of choice and we made a great decision to bring our son there and hope our remaining two kids will also get the privledge to go there.

  • I am in agreence with the comment thus far regarding the lunch room, I do not believe that an adult has the right to treat our children in the manner they are being treated, we want our children to grow up to be respectful of others and that certain staff members are teaching our children that is ok to be disrespectful and rude to others. I would hope that the administration at the school would act immediately to stop what is going on or I will have to take matters further, which I don't really want to do because I am confident that you as the school administation will see the severity of this problem and stop it immediately. Thank You very much in this matter.

  • I too agree with the comment about the cafeteria staff. My children have had incidents with the ladies in the cafeteria but the aids who work the lunch benches and recesses are great.

  • i am very disappointed in this schools cafeteria staff. they mistreat the students to the point that the parents will not even allow their children to eat in there. the students are so intimidated they only go in if they have a friend with them, with no assistance from the principal
