  • I went to this school from 1959-1963. I loved this school. I had a Mrs. Walker, Mr. black, Miss Bill, Mr. Majors. I lived on 60th Place. My brother and I went to the Temple for matinées. The little candy store across the school was great for treats and Mr. Lees general store on Budlong for lb of bologna 25cent. Those were the days!

  • I attended this school 1951-1955. Good school in a tough neighborhood! I remember a Mrs. Mc Pheeley (sic). I remember having to walk over to John Muir Jr. High if I got sick at school. I lived on 60th street and used to go to the Temple for a movie,Sears to shop,Harvard Park to play and Slauson Avenue for to play and hang around. There was also a little store directly across from Budlong Avenue School. Sometimes I'd go to the Carlton and every 4th time you'd attend you could see a movie for free! Also, there was the Knole (sic) which later became a church. Those were the "good old days"!
