  • When I first moved to Nauvoo, I was impressed with the school from the start. Actually, I had visited the town on four or five previous occasions, and visited the school two times. On one visit, I toured the school with the principal and then spent about an hour talking with him about the overall operation. I was in the process of moving to the area and was looking into employment in the Catholic schools. By the time I settled in Nauvoo, a new principal was in place. She was formerly a part time teacher at the school, and part time at a high school. She was a fabulous administrator from day one and continues to make the school feel like a family. Students, staff, and parents all work together under the leadership and support of a wonderful pastor. Everyone is personable, dedicated, and professional. It’s a small community, so everybody knows everybody else or is related to somebody. Still, I was welcomed with open arms. If I had children of my own, I’d put them in that school in a heartbeat!
